Ugur Sahin Design has revealed more details of its Chevrolet Corvette-based Soleil Anadi supercar ahead of its release at Top Marques Monaco. The Anadi carries a long line of Italian-bodied sports cars packing American grunt.
Soleil Anadi started life almost two years ago as the Ugur Sahin Corvette Z03 Concept. After that, the car has undergone some changes, and this is the first detailed shot of the car. While the new EV uses the recently-introduced Sail for most of its bones, it ditches the internal-combustion engine in favor of an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries.
This tiny EV can cruise up to 93 miles before recharging. You need to recharge it everyday since the charge can only be available for 93 miles. As of now, there's no indication whether GM will produce the Sail EV concept, but the General really wants to expand its electric vehicle lineup here in the United States.

GM has announced that its new B-segment car will be called Sonic. The 2012 Aveo was first launched at the Paris Motor Show and the vehicle will officially start production in 2011 at GM's Orion Assembly Center in Michigan.
The Sonic nameplate will only be available in United States, Canada and Mexico and for other markets the name will be Aveo. The reason for the name change here in North America is that Sonic represents a new beginning for Chevrolet and hence it was given a new name. The new car is roomy, stylish and fun to drive, and Sonic is a youthful, energetic name that helps convey what this vehicle is about.

According to the blokes over at Autocar, Chevrolet's Korean arm is furiously working on turning the latest Aveo into a five-door, five-passenger crossover. This CUV version of Chevy's subcompact, which just recently began production in Seoul, South Korea with sales slated for early 2011, will reportedly sport a stretched version of the platform and will be offered in both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive flavors.
Upscale interior bits and pieces are apparently being borrowed from the European Opel parts bin, which should mean good things for the Gamma II-based cute 'ute. Other higher-end specs include a next-gen digital display grafted into the dash that is apparently going to filter across the rest of the Chevrolet lineup.
