New Round Information

Hello ornament stitchers !!
What a wonderfully talented group of stitchers. Blogs located in sidebar. I am sure we will all send/receive some lovely ornaments :) It's not a competition though, so just relax and don't stress over what you stitch-I am sure we will each love our new ornaments :)

There are some revisions to the guidelines Please review them below.

We will send every other month for a year. (you will receive 6 ornaments (if you are involved in every round)-this helps those that are in a time crunch)
We will send and receive to a different person each time. Every other month you will send and receive an ornament.

Here are Just a few reminders:
1. Ornaments need to be in finished form.
2. You will have two months to stitch/finish each ornament. The mailing dates will be:
September 1, 2009
November 1, 2009
January 1, 2010
March 1, 2010
May, 1 2010
July 1, 2010
You should mail them in a TIMELY manner. If these dates fall on a Sunday or a holiday-please mail as close to the actual deadline as possible
You may mail anytime -if you finish early-by all means feel free to mail.
3. If you are going to be late-PLEASE contact me and the person we are stitching for to let them know.
4. Send finished ornaments only-no extra goodies.
5. You will each receive information about all the exchangers and their likes/dislikes.
6. Pay attention to the likes/dislikes of each member. That will be included in your exchange partner information email.
7. Please remember to post to the blog when you MAIL/RECEIVE your ornaments.
8. This is a suggestion only-but as we are all in the USA-I am going to send all my ornaments with delivery confirmation-this is NOT a requirement, but it is a good idea. I just think the PO takes better care of packages that have tracking on them.

I think that covers it all-I hope you all enjoy this Ornament Swap-I can't wait to see each ornament :)

Sorry for late posting

Okay first off I want to say im Very VERY VERY sorry for the late posting. Its been a rough week. Had a feild trip and that made it hard for me to post real fast.

On 1/9/10 i recieved this lil package from Shay, being out of town and far away i had to wait it out to see my lovely gift. When arriving home i was sooo sleepy i went straight to bed and got to open it early this morning and OH MY GOODNESS! Alil sheep guy! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH Shay. I adore this little orniment. It was to perfect. and now it is sitting on my lil christmas tree(year round tree) where it permitly sits. I love it so dearly.

Round 3 Ornament received! Thanks!

I had the prettiest ornament in the mail today from Julianne!!! Ilove the LHN design "Joy"..She used the overdyes as specified on 32 ct vintage linen. Thanks so much Julianne...I will have the perfect spot for it on my tree come December...And yes, It was well worth the wait! Thanks again and hugs from North Carolina!~~~~ Faye

Thank you so much for posting a picture. I found out that my camera was not the issue... it was my connector cord that hooked it up to the Computer... I bought a new one and we are off and running again... I was so worried about it being my camera... I never even thought it could be the cord...

My pictures did not turn out as nice as Roberta's did... but even her pictures did not do these cute little ornaments justice... I am so tickled with these cuties... They are SOOOOO adorable. The smaller one shown in the post below is a biscornue... and is done soooooo ornately!

Hello all... My daughter Meghan has a Package that arrived yesterday (Saturday 01/09/10) and is on her bed waiting for her. She went out of town mid way thru the week for a school event. With weather being sorta bad here and the snow that we had she stayed a little longer. She is due to be back at some point tonight. I am sure that she will be posting her thank you then. I didnt even think of posting about this to put the senders mind at ease. I am sorry!

It looks to be from Shay... But I have not opened to see it even ... I did not want to take away the fun of Meghan opening the package! So ... MORE to come I am sure as she opens it.

P.S. ... it is Driving me NUTS... I want to OPEN this little cutie sssoooooooooooooooooo bad! But I will be good and not do it!!!

I just got home and waiting for me was a note from a neighbor that she had something for me! It was this LOVELY ornament from Roberta.

I plan to get pics up and rolling... for some reason I can not get them to load and it is making me soooooooo mad! I hope to have the pics for you all later... but in the cutest of little decorative boxes... Roberta had made for me 2 little ornaments... one is a tiny tiny Oh my goodness... snowflake biscornue... it is sooooooooo adorable!!!! and the other is a DMC floss Angel... it is pink and white with a little wooden bead for a head! I received this handsome fella from Meghan today. She said in her card that she saw where I like reindeer. It's true, I do. I stitched him in red earlier in the year. What a perfect companion in green. Thank you Meghan, you did a beautiful job of stitching and finishing. I love it, and it's already hanging where I can see it.

Ornament Went in the mail!!!

Oh my goodness... I hope my person Loves this ornament... I will just say that I had to gather the fabric to make a second one and started it today. I think it turned out so Pretty ( ok ... well... Edgar it is simply amazing. I really love the Santa and reindeer. The designer is Prairie Schooler, the stitching on the 40 count linen and finishing are just perfect.

There is the prettiest ribbon goes around the edge and makes a hanger. It even has reindeer on the back.

Sorry I'm late posting I received my ornament from Edgar on Tuesday but I am just now feeling well enough to take pictures and post.

I am so sorry for being so slow with posting this round. My ornament was sent out yesterday and my partner should have it before the end of the week I think.
I also received a wonderful ornament stitched by Faye (and I did contact her directly, so she knows I received it).


It is a Quaker design from The Workbasket and one that I had been planning to stitch for myself, so I was extra pleased. Faye finished this beautifully and I can't wait to hang it on our tree.

Ornament Recieved!!!

LOOK What was in MY mailbox today!!!!! Marie sent me this exquisite Quaker Medallion Strawberry by Blackbird Designs. This design is featured in the 2006 JCS Christmas edition.

I LOVE IT!!!!! Just LOVE it! I almost cried when I opened my little baggie and saw this little lovely . I must have taken 30 pics of it trying to do it justice... Marie... What an AWESOME job. The stitching and the finishing is just PERFECT!!! WOW!!! It is going on my year round Quaker display... I can not put this one away after each Christmas... it just would not do it justice.

This is SUCH a talented Group of stitchers... Thank you for investing what you all do! It really makes this group a BLAST to be a part of!

This is SO very me!!!!! What a UNIQUE ornament finish I received today from Meghan for the Christmas Ornament Swap....Meghan, you just made my week GF!!! I just love it! WOW!! I started taking out all my Christmas decorations yesterday and will start decorating this week (YES, I am a Christmas-a-holic!!!), however I have decided not to do as much as I usually do :) We'll see if I stick to that or not :) hehe!!

When I opened the package my mouth dropped, this beautiful ornament is stitched on 40ct over two, using Atalie floss! ~ How lucky am I??? Beautiful Ornament from Julianne

I just received this beautiful Prairie Schooler ornament from Julianne today. I just adore it. Knowing I am from NH and live fairly close to the famed New England seacoast, Julianne stitched a Santa with a schooner and an anchor. I love how she made it personal like that! It is so perfectly stitched and finished... did I already say I adore it? Thank you so much Julianne :-)

Meanwhile, I am frantic about the ornament I mailed out... no word about it yet, very worried.... forgot to tell DH to put Delivery Confirmation on it! Argh!!!!! I hope it will arrive soon...
